Expressive typography

Project Description: Using Adobe Illustrator, I made four different types of logo designs. The first one that is one the top is called "Stacked Text" and I just flipped every other one in the order. The second one, under the stacked text, is "Figure Ground Reversal" and to make this we typed the alphabet and placed it into a shape and started using a positive negative affect. The third one is the "Ligature Example" and I had to connect the letters together to make a ligature. The examples on the bottom are called "Letters as an object" and we had to put a picture in place of a letter.
New Skills, Processes, and Tools Learned: Create Outlines and Ungroup letters, align tool, gradients, live trace.
Self Reflection: I think that this project was the most fun because it was our own idea. We had to come up with the designs ourselves. The hardest part was the negative positive examples.

Project Description: The project that we did on Adobe Illustrator was from a tutorial on vectordiary.com. We used the shape tool for mostly everything we did and we focused more on using colors, gradients, and stroke.
New Skills, Processes & Tools Learned: Shape Tools: Ellipse, Star, Rectangle/ Drawing Tools: Brush, Pen
Self Reflection: This project was easier then the last one. The brush tool is simple compared to the pen tool because the pen tool has anchor points as if the brush tool just draws wherever you want it to. Using the gradients and the color was probably the hardest part of this project.
